Peace

With all the turmoil in our outer world, it feels more important than ever to cultivate peace. During the Christmas season, as I joined family of various ages and stepped back into an energy of familiar and happy chaos, I was moved into vulnerability by my back going out of alignment. I was forced to slow down, could no longer be useful, chose my movements with exquisite care. It was a meditation of sorts. Then came a flu, and suddenly I was in my bed listening to the sounds of laughter drifting up the stairs. Strangely, there was peace in that. I was held by the house and its inhabitants. As 2023 came to a close, as I surrendered my heart and released my stories, I whispered a question to myself and the world: can we invite peace to take up residence in our lives?
