Practices

The times feel anxious. We see it in the headlines, no surprise, but also the heavily surveilled supermarket aisles, car park queues, highway overtaking lanes…you know what I mean. People are in a crush and a hurry to outpace rising prices, weather patterns, political ineptitude, strikes, breakdowns, divisions of all kinds.

At times like these, I lean into practices that bring joy, steadiness, new perspective and I thread them around work and throughout my day. I write, dance, garden, cook, carve, walk, read, stretch, skip, put my face to the sun, cuddle dogs … whatever it takes to shape-shift my emotional field. These are some of my practices - what are yours?
