What am I reading?
This was a great first book to read in the new year. A sumptuous story that drew me in with strong female characters that complicate and re-shape the history of a traditional country house; a war that challenges class and gender lines; and the whale bone theatre at the border of land and sea that holds the threads of story, hope and imaginative re-invention.
